the Dad's view from everyday in the life of a two year old son. This blog hopes to show the good and bad times as a parent but also show that parents need to find time for themselves to still have a life outside of being a parent. Kids come first but for our sanity we have to keep our hobbies and spend time with our friends.

Day 49 - Nicole Dumps Rain on Mid-Atlantic
Today when I picked up David from school he ran over and gave me a hug and did not want to let go of my legs. David was hungry today after not eating well while being sick and mom had a charity event planning meeting tonight so we were on our own. The best mom and wife planned ahead and had dinner ready to be heated up for us. I explained to David that mom made it for him and he should eat it all. He agreed but as he tried some of the meatloaf he said "no like." When I opened the freezer later he saw mini corn dogs and said "I want that" There was no chance we are going to play outside tonight since the remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole dumped about 5 inches of run on the area today.
